Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzes corporate strategic plans to determine development needs.
  • Analyzes business plans to determine knowledge and skill requirements necessary for plan success.
  • Defines metrics and tools to monitor progress.
  • Identifies, delivers, and manages supporting developmental activities and performance initiatives.
  • Led Total Rewards of US-based team members.
  • Point of Contact for all benefits brokers and vendors, as well as internal team members.
  • This position also defines the Total Rewards strategy for all US-based employees.
  • Manages Payroll function for all US-based team members.
  • Supervise Senior Payroll Specialist and assist as necessary to ensure accuracy of weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing for Michigan and Ohio locations.
  • Manages Corporate Talent Acquisition processes.
  • Direct supervision of all job postings.
  • Manages the job posting process, including participating in candidate screening and interviews.
  • Coordination and approval of job postings at all levels.
  • Recognition Program
  • Ensures that programs are in place and utilized to recognize the achievements of employees to drive engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ensures employees have access to information they need to be responsible employees.
  • Reviews and edits material for writing quality, clarity and accuracy on employee bulletin boards.
  • Posts all legally required Human Resources communications and announcements.
  • Coordinates special events for Holland and Novi offices.
  • Ensures the continuous improvement of workforce through the performance management process.
  • Works with Human Resources staff and management team to create, evaluate and maintain job descriptions.
  • Ensures the completion of all goal setting activities, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements solutions for manager and employees to resolve problems/issues.
  • Provides guidance, counseling, and problem-solving support to managers, team leaders, teams, and individuals for human resource/employee relation's issues.
  • Works with managers to ensure consistency of policy implementation and documentation, and monitor practices to ensure compliance with the law.
  • Participates in disciplinary actions up to and including, performance contracts, separations, and conflict resolution situations.
  • Serves as a resource for employees on relations issues, benefits questions, policy issues, etc.
  • Manages cases involving workers' compensation and physically restricted employees.
  • Works with Occupational Health professionals and Leaders to place medically restricted employees on job assignments.
  • Consults with legal and workers' comp insurance adjustor's medical resources on case management.
  • Manages team member safety.
  • Establishes GHSP safety guidelines and ensures all employees receive the proper training to comply with the safety guidelines.
  • Captures facility celebrations
  • Captures coordination efforts to ensure a high level of team member engagement.
  • Captures training opportunities
  • Administration of all applicable training programs and initiatives.

Education and Experience

  • 10+ years Progressive HR experience including leadership of direct reports; Corporate HR, Payroll, and Benefits experience strongly desired.
