Human Resources Manager
About the role
The Human Resources Manager will be based onsite in Dayton, Ohio and serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior business leaders. This role aligns HR strategy with business objectives to strengthen organizational performance, employee engagement, and leadership effectiveness across both professional and manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR partnership and support to multiple business units within the Print & Service Solutions group
- Lead and mentor a small team of HR Business Partner direct reports
- Own and execute HR initiatives across talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational development
- Support organizational design and change initiatives that improve efficiency and align structure with strategy
- Drive employee engagement initiatives
- Partner with leadership to support an inclusive, positive workplace culture
- Use HR data and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and share insights with leadership
- Collaborate daily with HR Centers of Excellence (Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition)
- Lead or support HR projects that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years managing direct reports (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law
- Proven experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and change management
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop others
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style to different audiences and business needs
- Analytical mindset with experience using HR metrics and data to guide decisions
- Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and HR analytics tools
Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
- HR certification (SHRM or HRCI)
- Experience using Workday (HRIS/ATS)
