About the role

HR Manager (Remote) Soni is partnered with a growing outdoors company who is hiring an HR Manager to lead its people function. This is a remote, standalone HR role for a small, distributed team: you will own recruiting, employee relations, benefits, and compliance end to end, and serve as a trusted partner to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting as the company grows
• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and relations matters
• Administer benefits and support open enrollment; manage compliance across a distributed workforce
• Partner with accounting on payroll documentation, including raises and bonuses
• Contribute to leadership-team discussions and broader people strategy
• Plan and coordinate the annual company retreat

Requirements

• 5-7 years of HR experience as a broad generalist
• Comfortable owning HR solo: you handle both the administrative detail and the strategic conversations
• A track record of thriving in a remote or distributed environment
• Strong judgment, discretion, and communication skills
• Prior one-person HR department experience strongly preferred

Pay

Compensation: Up to $120,000 plus bonus Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
