Objectives of this Role
- HR Operations
- Cook up new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Prepare new hire documentation.
- Maintain employee personnel files.
- Process employee status changes.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity.
- Aid in career development and performance review administration.
- Support employee recognition and engagement programs.
- Aid managers with employee relations issues.
- Cook up employee training activities and records.
- Support offboarding processes.
- Support timekeeping activities.
- Support payroll processing activities.
- Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including:
- Job postings
- Candidate sourcing
- Resume screening
- Interview scheduling
- Candidate communications
- Offer preparation
- Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and job requirements.
- Cook up background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment screenings.
- Cook up relationships with recruiting agencies and external talent sources.
- Benefits Administration
- Manage relationship with 3rd party benefits broker for benefits administration activities.
- Administer all employee benefit programs (Medical, Dental, Vision, Insurance, 401K, FSA/HSA, etc).
- Cook up annual Open Enrollment process including employee education and communication.
- Cook up benefit enrollments, changes, qualifying life events, and terminations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with benefit brokers and insurance carriers.
- Resolve employee benefit issues and questions.
- Review and reconcile monthly benefit invoices.
- Aid in annual benefits renewal process and benchmarking.
- Compliance & Administration
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Aid in audits including:
- Benefits
- Payroll
- Personnel records
- Update HR policies and employee handbook.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics.
- Aid in special HR projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Minimum 2 years administering employee benefits.
- Minimum 2 years of recruiting experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or engineering-based companies preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment law.
- Experience administering employee benefit plans.
- Excellent recruiting and interviewing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred).
