Key Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to HR team members
- Serve as the primary HR contact for plant leadership and union representatives
- Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)
- Manage grievances, arbitrations, and contract negotiations
- Advise leadership on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to support staffing goals
- Coach managers on performance management and employee development
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO
- Analyze HR metrics and develop action plans to improve workforce engagement and performance
- Manage training and development initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Oversee performance review processes and development planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- Master’s degree or HR certification preferred
- 5+ years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong labor relations and union environment experience required
- Proven negotiation experience and ability to manage complex employee relations matters
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
