About the role

The Human Resources Manager will oversee the HR department's operations, including hiring, interviewing, administering benefits, and enforcing company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail while communicating positively.
  • Understand HRIS and ATS software, and stay updated on federal and state employment laws.
  • Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs; process payroll.
  • Respond appropriately and timely to human resources-related inquiries.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with departmental managers on skill requirements.
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs such as compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; refer complex matters to appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, and review policies and practices for compliance.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.

  • Prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or quick learning ability for the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • One-year human resource management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP certification preferred.
