About the role
The Human Resources Manager will oversee the HR department's operations, including hiring, interviewing, administering benefits, and enforcing company policies.
Responsibilities
- Meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail while communicating positively.
- Understand HRIS and ATS software, and stay updated on federal and state employment laws.
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs; process payroll.
- Respond appropriately and timely to human resources-related inquiries.
- Review, track, and document compliance with training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with departmental managers on skill requirements.
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Administer and execute human resource programs such as compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; refer complex matters to appropriate staff.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, and review policies and practices for compliance.
- Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.

- Proficiency with or quick learning ability for the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- One-year human resource management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- At least three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP certification preferred.
