Human Resources Manager

About the role

This position oversees the administration of all human resources, including policies and programs, within the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of HR policies and programs, including recruitment, onboarding, health and safety, training, career development, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA.
• Aid line managers in applying HR programs to departmental operations.
• Address employee and candidate inquiries regarding HR policies and offerings.
• Lead and direct the work of other HR employees, with full authority for personnel decisions.
• Administer established policies and procedures, with potential impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural changes.
• Coach and train personnel, including production leaders, to enhance their leadership skills and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HR concepts and principles.
• Prioritized proven ability to perform complex tasks following established processes.
• Experience in coaching and training production leaders.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred, not required.
• Experience with HRIS systems and data analysis.
