About the role
We're seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions at our Rockwall, TX location. Ideal candidates are passionate about fostering a positive and productive work environment and have a strong generalist background.
Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, from advertising and sourcing to interviewing, testing, and onboarding new hires.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for managers, employees, and legal counsel on all HR-related matters, fostering a supportive and compliant workplace.
- Benefits Administration: Manage and administer all employee benefits programs, ensuring our team has access to comprehensive support.
- HR Compliance & Reporting: Maintain all HR reports and records in accordance with state and federal laws, and oversee the meticulous upkeep of personnel files.
- Leave Management: Accurately compute, post, and maintain reports related to employee leave and absenteeism.
- Safety & Workers' Compensation: Oversee the Safety Director and assist with all necessary paperwork for work-related incidents and workers' compensation claims.
- Policies Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of experience as an HR generalist or HR Manager.
- A four-year college degree.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literate (proficient in MS Word, MS Excel).
Preferred Skills
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in HR Administration.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements, business trends, professional journals, regulatory laws, and policies & procedures.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge and application of HR laws and regulations.
- Experience with ADP and other HRIS’s.
