About the Role

The Human Resources Manager will serve as a business partner with plant management to align business objectives with employees and leadership. This role acts as a consultant on HR-related issues, champions employee engagement, and drives change while assessing and anticipating HR needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and engagement, increase productivity, and enhance retention.
• Serve as a change agent to build credibility for the HR function, balancing employee advocacy with leadership support.
• Provide guidance on organizational structure, workforce planning, succession planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with the US Business Group HR team to ensure consistent processes, procedures, and compliance.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and maintain documentation for legal compliance.
• Offer day-to-day performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
• Analyze trends and metrics to develop HR solutions, programs, and policies.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Identify training needs, evaluate program success, and ensure training objectives are met.
• Partner with the USBG HR team to develop, communicate, and implement employee engagement strategies.
• Execute employee engagement programs at the plant level.
• Oversee HR-related activities, including recruitment of hourly employees, FMLA/ADA administration, attendance tracking, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, and compliance.
• Serve as the plant expert for the Human Capital Management System (UKG).
• Complete additional projects and tasks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years leading a site/plant HR function.
• Working knowledge of HR disciplines, including recruiting, employee relations, leave administration, engagement, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal/state employment laws.
• Relevant industry experience (e.g., metal fabrication manufacturing) is a plus.
• Experience with a Human Capital Management System; UKG experience is a plus.
