Human Resources Manager
Talent Acquisition
Managing the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring decisions. Align staffing forecasts with organizational goals.
Onboarding and Orientation
Managing new employee onboarding program to introduce company culture and policies.
Performance Management
Overseeing performance reviews, setting employee goals, and providing feedback to improve performance.
Employee Relations
Addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and investigating complaints related to harassment or discrimination.
Compensation and Benefits
Administering employee benefits plans, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Conduct wage analysis to ensure competitive and equitable compensation.
Training and Development
Identifying training needs, designing and delivering training programs to develop employee skills. Provide coaching and mentorship to supervisors and managers.
Policy Development
Managing and updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws. Proactively address regulatory changes.
Compliance Management
Staying updated on employment laws and ensuring NCE adheres to legal requirements for multiple states
Succession Planning
Identifying and developing future leaders within the organization.
Employee Engagement
Implementing initiatives to promote employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.
Strategic Partner
Align HR strategies with NCE objectives.
Skills and Qualifications (Must Have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility and experience advising senior leaders.
- Demonstrated success in workforce planning, talent strategy, organizational development, or related people initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruiting, performance management, and multi-state compliance.
- Able to analyze workforce data, develop practical recommendations, and influence decisions across organizational levels.
- Strong leadership, communication, judgment, discretion, and change-management capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
Skills and Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience working collaboratively for small consulting civil engineering firms with multiple office locations (140 - 200 employees).
- Experience leading an HR team and supporting organizational growth or strategic planning.
Benefits and Pay
Salary range: $110,000 to $120,000 annually depending on experience.
