About the role
Under the direction of the Sr Talent Business Partner, you will help forecast, identify, build, and implement proactive talent solutions that align with business goals. The Talent Business Partner supports the Service Operations business unit with Performance Management, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Workforce Planning, and uses business acumen along with talent expertise to build strategic partnerships. Responsibilities
- Business Partnership:
- Demonstrates basic enterprise-wide financial, regulatory, and compliance principles and consistently applies those principles to Talent processes, policies, and initiatives.
- Partners with business leaders and Talent COEs to develop appropriate talent plans to build bench strength for organizational transformation.
- Collaborates with business leaders to create and develop plans to positively impact the organizational environment using Talent data analytics and insights.
- Engages key stakeholders and influences senior leadership to align talent to business strategies.
- Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Serves as a Talent subject matter expert in relevant labor laws, legal rulings, and regulations with the ability to consult and coach on complex Talent issues.
- Maintains positive employee relations by creating a responsive, open environment where employees feel safe to speak up.
- Conducts and documents internal investigations into employee complaints.
- Facilitates the onboarding and off-boarding processes.
- Interprets Exit Survey data and escalates feedback.
- Employee Experience:
- Provides support for Employee Experience programs (e.g., engagement survey, skip level meetings, exit interviews, stay interviews, action planning, and leader accountability).
- Uses data and analytics to gain insight into employee feedback, provide personalized and relevant experiences, and development opportunities.
- Cultivates an inclusive and supportive working environment for all employees.
- Metrics & Reporting:
- Supports, communicates, and tracks employee title, department, compensation changes, and terminations with the payroll and benefits team.
- Provides reports and analysis on various employee data as required by location leadership on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Presents monthly KPI results to the executive team.
- Recruiting:
- Works closely with hiring managers and recruiters to ensure positions are filled quickly and efficiently.
- Assists with planning and executing onsite and offsite job fairs.
- Creates headcount reports to communicate staffing gaps to leadership.
- Partners and communicates with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, retention initiatives, and interviewing best practices.
- Ensures all required new hire paperwork (application, background checks, I-9, etc.) is completed for new hires.
- Payroll:
- Performs weekly audits on employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
- Provides basic Kronos support for employees.
- Administers Attendance Policy by tracking occurrences and generating reports.
- Talent Management Support:
- Annual Performance Review Process.
- Annual Merit Cycle.
- Strategic Talent Review.
- Internal Mobility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive Talent experience supporting Sr Leaders and aligning Talent to business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Previous HR Generalist experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and diplomacy.
- Strong business acumen.
- Up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and organized.
- Excellent time management and follow-up skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Some travel may be required.
