Human Resources Manager
Job Details
A non-profit ministry is seeking a mission-driven Director of Human Resources to lead and oversee all HR functions for the organization. The role is responsible for aligning human resources strategies with organizational values, fostering a culture of service and integrity, and supporting leadership in building a strong, engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic HR leadership, aligning people initiatives with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
- Oversee all core HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement workforce planning and organizational development strategies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies and ethical standards
- Lead and mentor the HR team, promoting professional growth and operational excellence
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that support a positive, faith-centered workplace culture
- Guide conflict resolution and employee relations efforts with professionalism, discretion, and compassion
- Oversee onboarding, training, and engagement initiatives to support employee retention and development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certification preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience within a nonprofit, ministry, or faith-based organization strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational development
- Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, professionalism, and a values-based approach
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
