Our client is a privately held, national high-tech manufacturing organization headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They are seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to work closely with the existing HR team and oversee a broad range of human resources functions within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

About the role

Reporting to the COO, this position will have a strong emphasis on employee relations, recruiting, HR operations, compliance, performance management, and process improvement. The Human Resources Manager will maintain a visible presence throughout the organization and serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive HR leader who enjoys balancing strategic ownership with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations and Engagement
    • Build strong relationships with employees through visibility, communication, and hands-on support.
    • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and organizational leadership.
    • Address employee concerns and conduct workplace investigations as needed.
    • Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation.
    • Support conflict resolution and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
    • Partner with plant leadership to align HR practices with operational priorities.
  • Recruiting and Talent Acquisition
    • Lead full-cycle recruiting for production, technical, professional, and leadership positions.
    • Build and maintain candidate pipelines to support current and future workforce needs.
    • Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, selection criteria, and interview processes.
    • Improve hiring efficiency through streamlined workflows, interview training, and effective use of technology.
  • HR Operations and Process Improvement
    • Evaluate and improve HR processes to increase consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
    • Implement scalable HR systems and documentation practices.
    • Support digital file management and workflow automation.
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for key HR functions.
    • Maintain HR data integrity and prepare reports and metrics for leadership.
    • Manage personnel files, attendance records, vacation schedules, and confidential employee information.
  • Performance Management and Development
    • Coordinate performance review cycles and goal-setting processes.
    • Support managers with employee coaching and performance-related matters.
    • Identify skill gaps and recommend training and development opportunities.
    • Help strengthen individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Compliance, Safety, and Benefits Administration
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations, including OSHA, FLSA, and EEO requirements.
    • Oversee benefits administration, employee support, issue resolution, and vendor coordination.
    • Maintain accurate attendance and time-off records.
    • Protect employee confidentiality and data privacy.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Manufacturing or industrial HR experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience.
  • Experience leading recruitment and developing talent pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve HR processes and operational workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and human resources best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems.

Pay

$95,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
