Strategic People Leadership

  • Serve as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, partnering with leaders to develop and execute a long-term people strategy aligned to business priorities

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Coach leaders to strengthen frontline leadership capability and reduce risk through effective people management

Talent, Capability & Organization

  • Own workforce planning, staffing strategy, succession planning, and leadership development for the plant
  • Lead, coach, and develop HR team, setting clear expectations and building capability across all HR disciplines
  • Partner with leaders to build organizational capability and support change initiatives

Change & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the people and change management aspects of Danone's manufacturing operating system and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Enable disciplined routines, standard work, and leadership behaviors that support sustainable adoption of new ways of working
  • Use people data and metrics to identify trends, measure progress, and drive targeted improvement actions

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labor and employment law, company policies, and HR processes
  • Maintain accurate HR data and support reporting/analytics
  • Partner with centers of excellence (COEs)

Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the Plant HR Manager is regularly required to:

  • Stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility, including production, warehouse, office, and outdoor areas, for extended periods of time
  • Sit intermittently to perform administrative, planning, and reporting functions
  • Use hands and fingers to operate computers, phones, office equipment, and other standard business tools
  • Reach with hands and arms and occasionally bend, stoop, or crouch while observing operations or engaging employees on the production floor
  • Travel occasionally to manufacturing sites, corporate offices or offsite meetings as business needs require
  • Occasionally lift and/or move materials such as files, training materials, personal protective equipment, or office supplies (lifting is generally limited and incidental to the role)

Specific sensory abilities required include vision (with or without correction) sufficient to review documents, observe working conditions, and monitor compliance; and hearing (with or without correction) sufficient to communicate effectively with employees and leaders in both office and manufacturing environments. Work Environment

This position is based primarily in a manufacturing plant environment and requires regular presence on the production floor. The employee may be exposed to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and temperature variations. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when accessing designated areas of the facility. Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 or a 24/5 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.

Integrated Work Systems Engagement

Ensure adherence to all plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, and Driving OE). As a fundamental leader within the organization, own the implementation and deployment of the Integrated Work Systems (IWS) framework or equivalent continuous improvement systems across all plant types. This includes driving core pillars such as Leadership Foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving Operational Excellence, Autonomous and Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Education and Training, Environmental Health and Safety, Quality, and Supply Network. The objective is to build a culture of ownership of space, performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature), and continuous improvement regardless of system maturity.

Pay

The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • At least 3 years union/labor relations experience within a manufacturing / industrial / supply chain environment
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong working knowledge of HR fundamentals, compliance, and employment law, policies and processes
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability building and leveraging strong relationships while influencing, persuading, and inspiring diverse teams
  • Professional agility, ability to deal with ambiguity, and adaptability in a fast-changing business environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead with respect, confidence, and managerial courage in challenging environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
