About the role
The Human Resources Manager for the Caterpillar facility in Goldsboro, NC, plays a crucial role in shaping the workplace environment and driving strategic initiatives that support the overall success of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Partner with operations leadership to deliver strategic people goals.
- Lead efforts to achieve a positive Caterpillar Experience for all employees.
- Provide direction and guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Lead and coach HR assistant.
Requirements
- Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
- Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.

- Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Work Schedule Flexibility: Ability to flex work schedule both early and late as necessary to support multiple shift operation.
Qualifications
- Minimum degree or equivalent experience desired.
Skills
- HR Certification.
- Strong understanding of HR Policies, compliance requirements, compensation and benefits, and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with leadership to deliver people and/or business strategies and initiatives to build Lean culture and create a positive Caterpillar experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the organization to take specific actions.

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
Schedule
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
