Caron Transportation Systems USA is a bulk transportation company established in 2013 under the same ownership as Caron Transportation Systems located in Canada; which has been in the transportation industry for 65+ years. Our US operations are comprised of Bulk Dry and Liquid Logistics, primarily for the Oil & Gas Industry. The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Vice President and General Manager of Caron USA.

Responsibilities

Your background in Human Resources Management will be crucial as you support leaders and staff in navigating HR matters, support and enhance engagement initiatives, ensure legislative compliance, and help to continue to make Caron a great place to work.

• Collaborate and work with Caron USA management
• Oversee and support US payroll processes
• Provide guidance and support to US management team regarding employee and labor relations, disciplinary issues, and policy matters
• US HR Program Administration, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation
• Oversee all Human Resources functions and provide support to Caron USA
• Remain current with all applicable US federal and state employment laws and regulations
• Develop and maintain Caron USA Human Resources policies and procedures
• Lead and complete projects as assigned
• Assist in the development, implementation, and revitalization of required Human Resources programs, processes, and policies
• Oversee US benefit program application and administration
• Track and report on US Human Resources performance metrics/measure
• Resolve customer safety concerns in a professional and timely matter
• Perform assigned tasks in accordance with the Caron QMS and production standards required by the Company and the industry as a whole
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management

Requirements

• 5-10 years of directly related experience
• Certificate, diploma, or degree in a safety and/or human resources management
• Human resources designation an asset (SHRM/PHR)
• Experience with payroll and ADP
• Able to travel up to 25%
