Human Resources Liaison

About the role
This position is responsible for a full range of human resources administrative support for all units within the agency. This role involves working with highly confidential information and partnering with other human resources employees to problem solve and find resolutions. The position conducts research, interprets requirements, and provides resolutions. It also reviews human resources documentation for timely coordination and processing, and provides progress updates on pending personnel actions.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. The State of Arizona strives for a work culture that affords employees flexibility, autonomy, and trust.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates and/or reviews HR personnel actions (position descriptions, job changes, salary requests, personnel action requests, onboarding, offboarding).
- Maintains the agency’s Spot and Merit incentive requests. Reviews qualifications for each request and processes accordingly.
- Provides technical expertise and feedback to administrative personnel across the agency.
- Assists in training personnel on HR processes and workflow.
- Serves as a proxy and subject-matter expert for the agency’s Performance Management system.
- Assists with researching and addressing issues related to Performance Management.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Federal and State statutes, rules, regulations, and laws.
- Basic HR principles and practices.
- Research methodologies and computer applications (Google Workspace).
- Valid Driver’s License (this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function).

Qualifications
- Experience working in the Human Resources field (selective preference).
All newly hired State employees must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
Pay
Salary Range: $51,510 - $61,511
Anticipated Salary: $56,510.90
