Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
  • Must be able to discreetly handle confidential information and data.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding of employees including employee orientation and training.
  • Ensure that proper new hire paperwork has been completed, including I9 documentation and certifications.
  • Review safety management implementation and assist with best practice delivery.
  • Review and maintain employee records and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Provide copies of records as appropriate for employees when requested.
  • Serve as HR liaison and communication route between field and state offices.
  • Set up and maintain confidential, sensitive files and records, ensuring efficient retrieval of information.
  • Ensure all necessary information is maintained in the employee personnel record.
  • Recruit employees by posting employment ads on the company website, external websites, in newspapers, and through college career services to attract qualified applicants.
  • Conduct and maintain file of background check results on applicants and perform registry and license verification checks.
  • Aid in paperwork required for job and salary changes, R&R bonuses, and LOA.
  • Absorb communications on open enrollment and respond to general questions from employees about pay and benefits, referring questions to the Benefits Information Center as appropriate.
  • Refer employee relations issues to HR Business Partner and keep immediate supervisor informed as appropriate.
  • Absorb performance review process as needed.
  • Comply with HR policies and practices, referring questions to immediate supervisor.
  • Absorb development of new databases for tracking and recording events/programs; produce reports as needed.
