Human Resources Intern (Temporary)
About the role
The Occasions Group, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking a Human Resources Intern to join our team in Rexburg, ID. This internship will run from September to December.
Responsibilities
- Collect and compile data for evaluation of operational difficulties and make recommendations to solve problems
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the department across a multi-business hierarchy to establish and identify opportunities within the BU and business-level
- Onboard temporary workers and provide solutions to issues they have in the workplace
- Interview and place applicants within multiple recruiting efforts including job fairs
- Manage multiple projects and assist in their implementation
- Schedule and help coordinate employees both regular and temporary status
- Provide data for various analysis and research required to meet day to day and long term objectives
- Collaborate and support supervisors, managers, and lead personnel to improve steps/workflow, create documentation, and champion/implement changes as needed
- Ensure that internal and external customers receive the best service possible through positive interactions via various communication channels such as voice mail, e-mail, or in-person support
Requirements
- Junior or Senior in college seeking a Human Resources or Business/Organizational Development degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in MS Excel
- Provide open and timely communication to internal and external stakeholders
- Able to collect, compile, and communicate data results
- Able to maneuver multiple priorities over different business units to support the department
- Problem solver and willing to champion organizational improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills amongst various audiences from executive-level officers to entry-level applicants
- Strong interpersonal skills; must enjoy working collaboratively with cross-functional departments
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Flexible schedule to meet organizational needs over peak Q4 season
