About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a diverse workforce in Austin, Texas within a manufacturing environment. This contract position will serve as a key HR partner to both manufacturing and corporate teams, providing steady guidance on employee relations, compliance, and daily HR operations. The role calls for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can build credibility on the floor, advise leaders with confidence, and maintain organized HR practices across a fast-paced site.
Responsibilities
- Advise supervisors and managers on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, disciplinary actions, attendance issues, and workplace complaints.
- Conduct and document workplace reviews and internal investigations while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
- Support day-to-day human resources administration for a large employee population spanning production, manufacturing, and office-based functions.
- Oversee benefit-related processes and employee support activities, helping team members understand available programs and resolving routine issues.
- Partner closely with front-line leadership to address timekeeping concerns, policy adherence, and workforce behavior in an operational setting.
- Maintain accurate HR records, complete required documentation, and uphold compliance standards across personnel processes.
- Provide guidance to the HR Administrator and collaborate with the broader HR team to ensure smooth coordination of ongoing activities.
- Participate in knowledge transfer and continuity planning to sustain HR operations, active employee matters, and established site procedures during leadership transition.
- Contribute to onboarding activities and HRIS-related tasks that support employee lifecycle management and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Human Resources leadership role with strong emphasis on employee relations.
- Background supporting manufacturing, production, or other blue-collar work environments is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to counsel managers on corrective action, performance management, attendance concerns, and workplace investigations.
- Working knowledge of HR administration, benefits support, onboarding, and HRIS processes.
- Familiarity with documentation practices, policy compliance, and workers’ compensation procedures within established guidelines.

- Strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through and attention to detail.
