Responsibilities
- Lead all core human resources activities for the Clackamas, Oregon location, serving as the primary HR resource for managers and employees.
- Advise leaders on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions, with a strong focus on legal compliance.
- Manage recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and staffing coordination to support operational needs at the local level.
- Oversee HR administration processes, including policy guidance, employee documentation, record maintenance, and HRIS updates.
- Drive benefits-related initiatives by coordinating and helping align programs such as medical, dental, and workers’ compensation across the organization.
- Partner directly with site leadership while maintaining close collaboration with the HR Director on strategic and escalated HR matters.
- Support a workforce made up largely of hourly and operations-based employees by delivering practical, responsive HR guidance.
- Ensure HR practices, procedures, and decisions comply with applicable employment laws and organizational standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in human resources leadership, including ownership of broad HR responsibilities in a site-based or standalone role.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, disciplinary processes, and employment law compliance.
- Background in benefits administration, including coordination of health and workers’ compensation programs.
- Experience with HR administration and maintaining accurate employee records within an HRIS environment.
- Ability to manage onboarding and support full-cycle hiring activities for a diverse workforce.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or similarly operations-driven setting with a significant blue-collar employee population.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to partner with local leadership and senior HR stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance hands-on execution with sound HR judgment.
Qualifications
Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar operations-driven setting. Proven success in managing HR functions, including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with HRIS systems and software.
