We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a broad range of people operations activities in Bellevue, Washington.
About the role
This position plays an important role in benefits administration, leave management, compliance, employee records, and day-to-day HR support for managers and staff. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of multi-state HR practices, comfort working in Workday, and the ability to improve processes while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, and voluntary plans, and coordinate open enrollment activities, status changes, and carrier billing review.
- Administer retirement plan activities such as new enrollments, deferral updates, compliance support, and ongoing partnership with external plan providers.
- Manage leave administration from initial request through return to work, ensuring timely documentation, required notices, and compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate with employees, managers, payroll, and external partners to support paid leave cases, workplace accommodations, and workers’ compensation matters across multiple states.
- Review benefit elections and payroll-related changes in Workday to confirm accurate enrollments, deductions, and employee data.
- Partner with leaders to evaluate and update job descriptions so they reflect current responsibilities and align with compensation structures.
- Help organize the annual performance review process by supporting schedules, communications, and required documentation.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for HR policies, compensation questions, employee records, reporting needs, audits, and ongoing process improvements.
- Provide on-site assistance for payroll activities and contribute to broader HR projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in human resources administration with hands-on responsibility for benefits, leave management, and employee support.
- Working knowledge of federal employment requirements and multi-state HR compliance, including leave laws and workers’ compensation practices.
- Proficiency with Workday or a comparable HRIS, with the ability to maintain accurate records and review employee transactions.
- Familiarity with 401(k) administration, benefits reconciliation, and payroll coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
- Experience supporting reporting, audits, and process improvement efforts within an HR function.
- Background in multi-state payroll or HR operations within a fast-paced business environment is preferred.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $82,000 to $100,000 plus a discretionary bonus.
