Responsibilities

  • Support daily human resources operations by managing onboarding activities, preparing new employee documentation, and coordinating orientation and training for non-union employees.
  • Aid in employee relations by responding to routine workplace concerns, assisting with lower-level grievances, and escalating more complex issues as necessary.
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment efforts for non-union positions, including candidate coordination and pre-employment processing.
  • Administer benefits and leave-related processes by maintaining records, supporting employee eligibility review, and assisting with compliance documentation.
  • Care for pre-employment requirements such as drug screenings and related onboarding clearances to facilitate a smooth start for new employees.
  • Perform accurate HR and payroll data entry while maintaining confidential personnel information within HR systems.
  • Review and correct timekeeping records as needed to ensure payroll accuracy in environments using biometric time capture.
  • Partner with HR and payroll team members to support workforce changes and maintain timely, compliant employee records.
  • Contribute to compliance with wage and hour requirements and other applicable employment regulations through consistent documentation and process support.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or closely related HR support role.
  • Practical knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance processes.
  • Experience supporting HRIS platforms; familiarity with ADP systems is preferred.
  • Ability to complete data entry and record maintenance with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of leave administration, employment eligibility practices, and wage and hour guidelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Assistance with basic payroll support tasks, including timecard review and corrections.
