About the role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a large manufacturing site. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for an HR specialist who is comfortable working independently, partnering closely with leadership, and helping create a stronger employee experience across the facility. The role offers broad exposure to employee relations, onboarding, policy guidance, and day-to-day HR operations while serving as a visible resource for both leaders and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with site leaders and employees to provide practical human resources support across the facility.
  • Advise managers on employee relations matters, performance concerns, and workplace issues, helping drive fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Coach leadership teams on people-management practices and encourage approaches that strengthen engagement and accountability.
  • Interpret HR policies and procedures, offering clear guidance to ensure appropriate application in daily operations.
  • Assist with onboarding activities, new employee orientation, I-9 processing, and related employment documentation.
  • Partner with recruiting and staffing teams to support workforce efforts, candidate onboarding, and a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Work with compensation and benefits partners to address employee questions and support total rewards-related processes.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives and operational improvements that enhance service delivery and the overall team member experience.
  • Provide guidance and day-to-day support to the onsite HR team while helping maintain consistent execution of HR processes.
  • Handle confidential employee and business information with care and support additional HR projects as business needs evolve.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a human resources generalist, HR business partner, or similar HR role.
  • Practical experience managing employee relations issues and advising leaders on workplace concerns.
  • Working knowledge of onboarding processes, HR administration, and employment documentation requirements, including I-9 support.
  • Familiarity with benefits-related questions and coordination with compensation or total rewards functions.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence leaders and address sensitive matters professionally.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
