About the role
We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a manufacturing organization in Greer, South Carolina through a contract opportunity with the potential for a long-term role. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who brings a solid HR foundation, is comfortable working with data, and can support employees across more than one location. The position calls for someone who understands the pace and culture of manufacturing, communicates with confidence, and is eager to expand into broader HR business partnership responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day human resources support for employees and leaders, serving as a reliable resource for workplace questions, policy guidance, and general HR matters.
- Coordinate core employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, offer communication, and administrative follow-up to help create a smooth hiring experience.
- Support employee relations matters by listening carefully, addressing concerns appropriately, and escalating issues when needed.
- Use HR data and system information to track trends, maintain accurate records, and assist with routine reporting for multiple locations.
- Partner with managers on practical HR topics including attendance, time away from work, and other employee-related situations that require clear guidance.
- Assist with benefits and HR administration processes, ensuring documentation is complete and employee information is handled accurately.
- Contribute to recruitment and employment processing activities, including offer recommendations and post-offer coordination.
- Build strong working relationships across the organization while helping strengthen an engaged, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR support role.
- Background supporting HR activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with employees or operations across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and general HR processes.
- Comfort using HRIS platforms and managing HR data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and leadership in a thoughtful and approachable manner.
- Strong organizational skills and willingness to take on broader responsibilities as the role grows.
