About the role
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a growing manufacturing operation in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This long-term contract opportunity will play a central role in maintaining daily HR operations, supporting the employee experience, and helping leaders address workforce needs in a fast-paced plant environment. The position is ideal for someone who can balance administrative accuracy with strong interpersonal judgment while working across recruiting, attendance, and employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day human resources activities for the site, including attendance tracking, point monitoring, and routine HR administration.
- Partner with supervisors and plant leadership to address employee relations matters with professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts for hourly and other site-based roles, from candidate communication through hiring support.
- Lead onboarding activities for new employees to help create a smooth and organized start to employment.
- Support benefits-related processes and respond to employee questions regarding HR programs and policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR information systems to ensure timely and reliable data management.
- Provide HR support for a workforce of approximately 115 employees in a newly established facility experiencing ongoing hiring activity and turnover.
- Align work schedules with operational needs by providing coverage during business hours that overlap with multiple shifts.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar broad HR support role.
- Working knowledge of employee relations practices, HR administration, and onboarding procedures.
- Experience supporting recruiting activities in a manufacturing, distribution, or other high-volume environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and responding to employee HR inquiries.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate personnel documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and site leadership.
