About the Role
We are seeking an organized Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support day-to-day HR coordination and administrative operations for a healthcare-focused organization in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. This contract position is ideal for someone who works accurately in a fast-paced environment, manages recurring HR tasks, and supports both remote workflows and occasional onsite office needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee records by organizing digital and paper documentation, ensuring files are complete, accessible, and properly stored.
- Gather personnel-related documents from HR platforms, background screening systems, and other sources, then archive them in the appropriate shared folders and employee records.
- Support file audit and cleanup efforts by removing duplicates, updating folder structure, and relocating inactive or separated employee records as needed.
- Use Workday to review, download, and manage employment documents while helping keep electronic files current and compliant.
- Address routine HR questions and help monitor support requests submitted through ServiceNow, providing timely administrative follow-up.
- Track employee certifications on a recurring basis, confirm status through external verification sources, and update records to reflect current information.
- Provide general office assistance when required, including handling printed materials, preparing identification badges, sorting mail, and filing physical paperwork.
- Contribute administrative support to HR projects and operational initiatives that help the team maintain service quality and productivity.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in human resources support, HR coordination, administrative operations, or records management.
- Practical experience with HR systems such as Workday and familiarity with ticketing or case-management tools like ServiceNow is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related business tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume data entry and documentation tasks accurately.
- Ability to prioritize recurring assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain consistency across multiple administrative processes.
- Comfortable working independently in a primarily remote setting while remaining responsive to team and business needs.
- Experience supporting HR activities such as onboarding, employee documentation, benefits-related administration, or similar personnel processes is valued.
