We are looking for an HR Generalist to support onboarding, employee communication, and day-to-day HR coordination for a manufacturing environment in South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare onboarding materials and assemble orientation packets for incoming employees before their start dates.
- Lead portions of orientation by explaining workplace expectations, available benefits, and essential company guidelines in a clear and engaging manner.
- Welcome new employees and help create a positive first-day experience that reflects a supportive workplace culture.
- Complete employment documentation accurately, including electronic I-9 processing and related HR administrative records.
- Conduct safety walk-throughs with new employees, including guided visits through the production area to reinforce workplace protocols.
- Support follow-up onboarding activities on the second day of orientation to ensure employees remain informed and prepared.
- Maintain organized filing systems and handle routine HR documentation with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate with hiring teams and business leaders regarding orientation participation and related events.
- Send meeting invitations and confirm attendance for leaders involved in orientation sessions and onboarding activities.
Requirements
- Experience supporting HR operations in areas such as onboarding, employee relations, or HR administration.
- Ability to present information confidently to groups and communicate professionally with employees at all levels.
- Strong computer proficiency, including experience entering and maintaining employment records in HR systems.
- Knowledge of onboarding processes, benefit communication, and general human resources practices.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting and walking the production floor as part of orientation activities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage filing, scheduling, and multiple administrative priorities.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
