This position is an early-career developmental opportunity within the Human Resources department, offering hands-on experience in core HR functions and broader administrative support. The HR Generalist will primarily focus on specific HR and People functions, supporting key compliance and operational tasks, contributing to process improvements, and delivering responsive service to employees and leaders. This role is designed to expand HR knowledge, skills, and competencies through active engagement across multiple HR disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of key compliance and operational HR functions.
- Contribute to process improvements within the HR department.
- Deliver responsive and professional service to employees and leaders.
- Assist with employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, and benefits functions.
- Manage HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and data entry tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
Requirements
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service mindset and professional interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with HR compliance and employment regulations.
- Working knowledge of federal and Washington State leave laws and regulations, including FMLA, WA Paid Family & Medical Leave, ADA, and related leave and accommodation requirements.
- Understanding of benefits programs and plan design/portfolio.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees and customers.
