We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to provide onsite HR support for a manufacturing workforce in Bethel, Connecticut. This is a long-term contract position expected to run for at least six months.

About the role

You will play a key role in employee relations, engagement, hiring, and day-to-day partnership with leaders. The person in this role will work closely with supervisors, staffing partners, and internal talent teams to help maintain a smooth and effective employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Guide supervisors and managers on daily human resources matters, offering practical support across employee-facing issues and workplace needs.
  • Contribute to employee relations activities by helping address concerns, encouraging positive workplace practices, and supporting a productive team environment.
  • Assist with engagement efforts designed to strengthen morale, communication, and overall employee experience across the site.
  • Support recruiting activity for manufacturing and direct labor positions by coordinating hiring steps and maintaining communication with key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between external staffing partners and internal leadership to keep hiring efforts organized and efficient.
  • Arrange and confirm candidate interviews, ensuring schedules, participants, and follow-up actions are aligned throughout the process.
  • Help manage onboarding activities so new employees are introduced effectively and prepared for a successful start.
  • Collaborate with the internal Talent Acquisition team to align hiring priorities, candidate flow, and workforce needs.
  • Provide broad HR support for site employees and assist with additional human resources projects or priorities as business needs evolve.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a Human Resources Business Partner, HR Generalist, or comparable human resources role.
  • Demonstrated strength in employee relations, including handling workplace concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement programs or initiatives within an organization.
  • Background in manufacturing, direct labor, distribution, or another operational environment is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with staffing agency coordination and hands-on support of recruiting and hiring processes.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now; exposure to applicant tracking systems such as iCIMS is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across employee and leadership groups.
  • Able to succeed in a fast-paced, fully onsite work environment five days per week.
