Human Resources Generalist

SGA, a technology and resource solutions provider, is seeking a Human Resource Generalist for a 4-month contract assignment in Spartanburg, SC. This role is a leave-of-absence replacement position.

About the Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will support the manager or director of Human Resources across all functional areas, with emphasis on recruitment, employment documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits. The HRBP will implement HR best practices and foster positive relationships between personnel and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to a business unit or functional area, including recruitment, employment documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits.
• Act as a liaison between departments and divisions.
• Support small functions under the guidance of a higher-level HRBP and assist with larger functions as needed.
• Administer HR policies and procedures across multiple functional areas.
• Collect and analyze HR data to make recommendations to management.
• Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.
• Deliver presentations to explain HR policies and seek compliance and understanding.
• Develop and propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to enhance HR effectiveness and operations.
• Assist in resolving employee relations issues and administering disciplinary actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Three or more years of relevant HR experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Professional HR (PHR) or Senior Professional HR (SPHR).
• Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
• Ability to establish strong partnerships with functional and business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies.
• Innovative, future-oriented, and open to new ideas.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and influence change.
• Ability to build team morale and promote corporate culture.
