About the role

Assists with the coordination of all functions of the Human Resources department, including training, benefits management, employee relations, and recruitment, in accordance with Omni standards. Provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Director and HR leadership team, while fostering a welcoming environment for all associates in the Associate Services Center.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally and warmly meet and greet all guests to the Associate Services Center (ASC).
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Director and HR leadership.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including pre-screening and scheduling interviews for line-level position applicants, posting open positions, and maintaining the open position listing.
  • Generate and analyze complex reports and queries in Dayforce.
  • Oversee Power of Engagement tracking efforts and the Omni Hotels & Resorts LMS System for the assigned property.
  • Oversee all aspects of New Hire Orientation preparation and facilitate assigned sections of New Hire Orientation.
  • Assist with processing new hire paperwork.
  • Maintain department logs, binders, and employee files.
  • Develop associate communications via weekly newsletter, monthly calendar, bulletin boards, posters, and flyers using Canva and Microsoft products.
  • Enter and maintain all associate data into Dayforce (HRIS).
  • Answer phone and email inquiries.
  • Type memos and other correspondence.
  • Maintain orderliness of office supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in planning and execution of associate events planned by the Human Resources Department.
  • Oversee the documentation tracking process.
  • Champion Omni culture on property and promote opportunities within the hotel and company.
  • Facilitate a culture of praise and recognition by assisting with the implementation of various employee recognition programs.
  • Participate in the Hotel Orientation Program.
  • Collect, sort, and distribute office mail.
  • Complete other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 1-year human resources experience preferred.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Internet research, Canva, and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Ability to work independently and successfully complete projects with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Highly motivated self-starter focused on quality, organization, guest service, and teamwork.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and create a welcoming environment for potential and current associates.
  • Willingness to work on weekends occasionally.
