Job Responsibilities
- Work Schedule: Split Between Afternoon / Night Shift
- Position Summary: Responsible for providing a high level of customer service support and partnership with employees and site leadership in response to inquiries and concerns.
- Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all EHS policies and procedures is sustained.
- Ensure conformance to IATF 16949 quality management standards is sustained.
- Maintain process procedures and documentation as applicable.
- Identify and suggest changes to procedures as appropriate.
- Investigate and find resolution for employee concerns in a timely fashion.
- Support leadership with disciplinary process to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Participate in discussions at a final or termination level of disciplinary process.
- Foster an environment of positive employee engagement and trust.
- Provide translation support (if bi-lingual).
- Maintain communications for various forms of media including television screens, newsletters, Magna apps, bulletin boards, etc.
- Cook up and participate in various employee activities such as employee recognition, site celebrations, apparel orders, etc.
- Cook up and participate in activities that focus on employee retention. Examples: stay interviews, small group meetings, etc.
- Facilitate requisition process, create job postings, coordinate and participate in interviews, and coordinates candidate hiring process.
- Attend career fairs.
- Create and/or maintain student programs such as interns, co-ops, etc.
- Build relationships with schools and universities.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires which includes participation or supports new hire orientation, ensuring workspaces are available and ready at start of assignment, new hire paperwork, performing E-Verify, etc.
- Coordinate new hire data entry with shared service team.
- Conduct exit interviews. Maintain termination data and analyze trends.
- Ensure hourly performance reviews are completed in a timely fashion and provide clear and thorough feedback.
- Support employees at all levels of the organization with interpretation and administration of HR related policies and processes to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Lead by example and ensure self-compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Support with the administration and updating of policies and procedures.
- Administer all benefit programs and serve as a resource on benefit questions or concerns.
- Administer FMLA, STD, LTD, ADA and LOA programs.
- Lead and/or support annual Open Enrollment process.
- HRIS = Workday (accuracy)
- Payroll & Timekeeping = Ceridian Dayforce (accuracy)
- Coordinating processing weekly payroll and semi-monthly payroll with shared service team.
- Initiates hourly pay adjustments as defined for hourly compensation process.
- Maintain employee files (digital and non-digital).
- Role model ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct.
- Lead by example and instill high standards of professionalism from others.
- Maintains confidentiality of all aspects of HR.
- Complete assigned training within identified deadlines.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local employment practices and labor laws.
- Conduct training or workshops on identified topics as applicable.
- Propose new ways to make processes become automated and digitalized.
- Facilitate or participate in projects involving other HR team members or cross functional team members.

- Support and /or participate in monthly plant wide employee meetings.
- Aid HR Manager: Projects, audits, reports, programs, KPIs, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3+ years HR related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment and labor laws.
- Previous manufacturing experience with employee population of 300+ employees.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Able to work flexible hours to support 24/7 operation.
- Willing and able to travel.
- High degree of professional maturity, integrity, ability to maintain confidential information and data.
- Self-motivating, takes initiative, and works independently.
- Ability to think analytically and strategically and devise initiatives to move the organization forward.

- Experience working in Automotive industry.
- HR Professional Certification from SHRM or HRCI.
- Working knowledge of Workday and Dayforce programs.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish, Ukrainian, or Russian.
