About the role
The HR Generalist supports a 12-month, 260-day position with a salary of $61,000/year (commensurate with experience).
Responsibilities
- Post job vacancies and manage job postings across applicable platforms
- Maintain and monitor applicant tracking system (ATS) records and workflows
- Cook up interview schedules and communicate with candidates
- Coordinate reference check processes and document preparation
- Support recruitment events and hiring fairs
- Conduct vacancy posting audits for accuracy and compliance
- Support new hire onboarding processes and timelines
- Process employee intake documentation and ensure completion of required paperwork
- Manage onboarding checklists and track completion of all requirements
- Coordinate new employee orientation logistics and materials
- Support pre-employment compliance requirements including:
- Fingerprinting coordination
- I-9 verification and employment eligibility processing
- Background check coordination
- Tracking completion of required pre-employment documents (forms, EHRs, etc.)
- Coordinate sub and per diem staffing onboarding and assignment processes
- Support exit processes, including offboarding checklists
- Collaborate with departments on return of district property
- Track employee licensure and certification status
- Monitor renewal dates and endorsement updates
- Ensure compliance with certification requirements
- Communicate licensure and credentialing updates and deadlines
- Maintain and support HR platforms including but not limited to Frontline, EvaluWise, GCN, Verifent, and HeyC
- Perform system data entry, updates, and audits for accuracy
- Support compliance tracking within HR systems
- Troubleshoot basic system issues and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files (electronic and/or physical)
- Process employee status changes including name, position, and transfer updates
- Support records management processes and audits
- Aid in contract routing, tracking, and processing
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal employment regulations
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes and workflows
- Aid in documentation and development of negotiation agreements and maintain confidentiality of restricted information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in human resources, school district HR, or administrative support preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
