Human Resources Expert

Starting hourly rate: $15.50 USD per hour. Pay range: $15.50 – $23.25 USD per hour.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by:
  • Greeting guests within 10 ft (smile, make eye contact, or wave) and 4 ft (initiate a warm, helpful interaction)
  • Helping guests find what they need and resolving issues for a smooth shopping experience
  • Ending every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring experience
• Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs for each area of the business, ensuring the right mix of skills for in-store and digital shopping experiences
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates
• Support team member and leader training needs and advocate for continuous learning
• Serve as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices
• Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with leaders to take action as needed
• Deliver on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption
• Support your leader in following company compliance policies to mitigate risk to the team member experience
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, comply with safety policies, and report hazards
• Perform all other duties based on business needs

Requirements

• Enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members
• Thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem-solving are key
• Open to working a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times)
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices, operate handheld scanners, and use other technology equipment as directed
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing job duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts, and take required meal and rest breaks
