About the Role

The HR Coordinator provides general support to the Human Resources Department, relieving the VP of Human Resources and the Human Resources Manager of administrative duties. This role owns new hire Virginia Lottery processing and onboarding activities.

Responsibilities

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Bristol for gaming entertainment; builds and retains guest relations while mentoring team members to provide superior guest service.
  • Provides daily administrative support to the Human Resources Department, including answering phones, assisting internal and external guests, setting appointments, filing, preparing documents, running reports, escorting candidates, and maintaining up-to-date team member information.
  • Assists other HR team members with assigned projects and events.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to applicants, team members, and leadership as needed.
  • Assists HR Specialists with functions within the applicant tracking system, such as screening/sourcing applicants, validating new hires, licensing, and onboarding.
  • Executes communication needs for all HR areas in a timely manner.
  • Represents HR at meetings and events.
  • Assists with posting on social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter) from the team member perspective.
  • Helps execute Quarterly and Annual Rock Star celebrations and other team member events.
  • Administers Exit Interview and Stay Interview processes, analyzes data, and generates reports for operators.
  • Creates, runs, and modifies HR reports as needed, including transfer and termination reports.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all data and information.
  • Provides timely and courteous internal guest service to team members at all levels.
  • Assists with new hire-related functions during peak hiring seasons.
  • Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up tasks as assigned.
  • Attends seminars as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
  • Minimum six months of Human Resources or Administrative experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
  • Knowledge of HRIS system(s) highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in the Gaming/Hospitality industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Lottery/Gaming regulations.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening and background check.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other HR software systems.
  • Ability to independently initiate, follow up on, and complete assignments and special projects.
  • Strong understanding of the gaming industry and the Hard Rock brand.
  • Sound interpersonal judgment and decision-making skills in directing administrative tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external contacts and all levels of team members.
  • Ability to use all required office equipment effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to review and comprehend documentation, compose and type correspondence, and file materials.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional interface with business contacts and customers.

Pay

Pay Range: $17 - $25/hour.
