About the role
The role is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. It is based On-Site in Dedham, MA for a minimum of 3 days/week.
Responsibilities
- Implements and administers human resources programs, policies, and practices as a standalone resource or in a shared-services HR model
- Responds to employee and manager inquiries, questions, and complaints; provides information, guidance and direction on HR programs, processes, and procedures including harassment allegations and civil rights complaints
- Makes recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement based on research and evaluations of data
- Conducts employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews
- Partners with management and employees to improve work relationships and increase employee engagement and retention
- Communicates, interprets, and advises on various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations
- Administers, develops, and implements department programs, policies, and practices
- Executes Human Resources programs, policies, and procedures, processes, communication, and initiatives
- May be involved in Labor Relations and Negotiations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required
- Plus 5 years of Human Resources experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Professional HR Certification preferred
