About the role

WGI is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing and dynamic team in the West Palm Beach, Florida office. In this position, you will provide full-cycle human resources support and consultation across the organization, partnering with associates, management, and the leadership team on human resource issues. Responsibilities span recruitment direction, college intern strategy, talent management, employee relations, training facilitation, and employee engagement throughout Florida and other states where WGI operates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day implementation of HR initiatives, including recruitment, policy and benefits communications, training, onboarding, and company-wide communications.
  • Drive HR initiatives such as benefits enrollment, performance management, employee engagement, leadership development, and critical recruitment efforts.
  • Cultivate strong relationships and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data in HRIS systems, including employee information, performance management, rewards, and recognition.
  • Partner with managers on coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution for associates.
  • Communicate HR policies, procedures, standards, and compliance requirements to associates and management.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to implement retention-focused changes.
  • Provide supervision and management of HR specialists, generalists, and coordinators as needed.
  • Coordinate with Payroll as a check and balance.
  • Assist in AAP and EEOC reporting.
  • Act as a business advisor to senior management on key organizational and management issues.
  • Provide HR technical expertise to assess and integrate acquisitions.
  • Maintain an open-door policy to support employees with advice and guidance.
  • Facilitate employee orientation and other employee programs.
  • Ensure employee documentation is accurate and up to date, including changes, terminations, and file information.
  • Assist associates with leave processes and ADA accommodations.
  • Guide and coach the executive leadership team on employee problem-solving, conflict resolution, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure consistent application of company guidelines on disciplinary procedures, dependability, and terminations.
  • Participate in investigations and resolve employee complaints.
  • Prepare, issue, and follow through with Performance Improvement Plans in collaboration with senior management.
  • Develop company policies and procedures with the HR Leader and Executive Leadership team.
  • Provide HR support to WGI Ventures groups as needed.
  • Actively engage with Vice Presidents of engineering divisions on staff engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7+ years of prior Human Resource Generalist experience and 3+ years of management experience.
  • Current knowledge of employment regulations, laws, and HR trends and processes.
  • Proven track record of developing leaders and managing change during high-growth periods.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives in a multi-site environment.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience recruiting highly technical engineering positions.
  • Experience supporting and presenting information to senior leadership.
  • Prior experience reporting from an HRIS system.
  • Payroll experience is helpful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and strong ethics.
  • High energy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-growth organization.
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, accountable, and passionate about helping others and driving results.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Prior experience in the engineering or construction industry is a strong plus.
  • Must be able to travel within the State of Florida up to 30% of the time to support critical people initiatives.
  • Must be able to work at the West Palm Beach, Florida office Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
