About the role
To be the driving force behind employee success in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support our manufacturing facility in Janesville, WI by implementing programs to help improve the employee experience, including but not limited to administrating the onboarding program.
- Engage in and lead employee relations and performance management issues with the site management team.
- Lead succession planning for the plant.
- Act as the primary on-site contact for Leave of Absence, Payroll, Benefits, Bonus Payments, Attendance, Employee Referral payments & Tuition Reimbursement inquiries, and any other employee questions/concerns.
- Proactively recruit for all hourly and salaried openings in partnership with our Talent Acquisition team. Participate in selection and placement of candidates to help drive quality and timeliness of hires. Partner with Operations Manager and plant Supervisors/Managers to appropriately evaluate and update position descriptions and salary grade alignment.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding various HR related items within the facility.
- Collaborate with HR Directors and leaders to improve employee morale and company culture.
- Responsible for terminations and handling employee investigations and taking the appropriate next steps. Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Report on KPI's for the HR Function for your specific plant and own improving those KPIs as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience supporting a manufacturing plant required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Business or related field
- PHR Preferred
Qualifications
- Ability to build credibility with all levels of the organization
- Detail oriented
- Experience with LEAN processes and tools
- Experience with SAP, Success Factors systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated success in a fast paced organization experiencing transformation

Pay
The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Schedule
This position is required to be on-site 5 days per week.
