About the role

This Human Resources Business Partner position provides administrative and operational support for the Shared Services and property Human Resources (HR) department. Key responsibilities include guest service, confidentiality, operational support, HRIS updates, and team member engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding Team Member issues and documentation.
  • Supports the Shared Services and OTB team members for all personnel inquiries.
  • Serves as the liaison between the Virginia Racing Commission (VRC) and each property.
  • Oversight of the Team Member Engagement Program.
  • Communicates HRIS updates, trains new team members, and serves as a subject matter expert.
  • Maintains the company intranet, Rosie’s Report, and ensures the training platform, Vector Solutions, is up to date.
  • Ensures OSHA data entry and reports are accurate.
  • Monitors requisitions and assists with hiring processes.
  • Assists with new hire orientations, trainings, and special projects.
  • Resolves problems within the position’s scope of authority and recommends solutions beyond.
  • Maintains HR office inventory and assists with property-wide supplies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Five years of progressive experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license with at least three years’ experience.
  • Valid racing license.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and OSHA regulations.

Pay

$70,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, with potential for overtime during live racing seasons.
