About the role

The HR Business Partner will lead strategic and day-to-day HR operations for the Miami Branch office, overseeing all HR initiatives, processes, workforce planning, and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workforce, Performance and Talent Management
  • Support the effective resolution of employee relations and performance management matters
  • Conduct thorough investigations and manage related documentation
  • Facilitate the annual performance management process
  • Ensure the office organizational structure supports business growth and operational effectiveness
  • Support organizational change management initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with branch management
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process
  • Partner with department heads and hiring managers to forecast staffing needs
  • Onboarding
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and manage 30/60/90-day onboarding activities
  • Ensure all onboarding and new-hire documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Compliance
  • Monitor office compliance with company policies and federal and state employment laws
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may also be considered
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SHPR, or PHR certification preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or customer service preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting multiple employee relations, performance and talent management, organizational change and training and development
  • Ability to align people strategy with business strategy to deliver measurable value and impact
  • Ability to make sound decisions and drive effective solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels within a large, matrixed organization
  • Ability to coach employees and leaders through complex and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to lead and support an organization through change
  • Ability to leverage data to inform strategy and drive business results
  • Knowledge of core HR policies, procedures, practices, and employment law fundamentals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while ensuring timely and effective follow-through
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Quarterly travel is required to support HR initiatives and conduct branch office visits
