Responsibilities

  • Consult with managers and employees on various HR related inquiries, leave of absence requests, policy interpretation and employee relations issues.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations and disciplinary issues, conducting thorough, effective, and objective investigations.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Perform terminations of employment with managers adhering to Company procedures.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback as applicable.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all federal, state and local labor laws, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide consultation to the hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team throughout the selection process, including interviewing candidates.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of the Company compensation structure, evaluating and monitoring for fair and competitive pay practices.
  • Manage the onboarding process for employees to maximize the employee experience.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance and support to managers as well as support during annual and semi-annual performance evaluations.
  • Work closely with the Compensation Team to develop and utilize job descriptions.
  • Develop and maintain career paths and related materials, communication and training employees and managers on the effective implementation of such materials.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Participate in employee activities.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with the Knowledge and Learning Team to deliver the training.
  • Work closely with the HR Operations Team to communicate all employment status changes, leaves of absence, promotions, etc., ensuring accuracy of data in HRIS and payroll.
  • Participate in regular meetings.
  • Participate in special projects and other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Relevant Years of experience required to perform the role: 5-8 years.
  • SHRM-CP Certification required.
  • Impeccable interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to effectively work well with and communicate with all employees and managers, verbally and in writing.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize, multi-task and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Effectively navigate and operate various HRIS, MS Office and other computer programs.
  • Strong public-speaking skills.
  • Expert level knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances and policies.
  • Strong time-management skills with a focus on deadlines and urgency.
  • Ability to travel as needed throughout the year to regional offices via automobile, train, or airplane.
