We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join our thriving construction company. This is a permanent, full-time position that will play a crucial role in our HR team, supporting our mission to build a positive, productive, and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources management, with a keen understanding of California Compliance and Federal Laws. They should be well-versed in employee retention strategies, training development, and fostering teamwork. Responsibilities

  • Partnering with business leaders to understand their HR needs and providing strategic guidance and support.
  • Ensuring compliance with all California state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Developing and implementing effective employee retention strategies to minimize turnover and foster a positive work environment.
  • Providing training and development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Collaborating with HR team members to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Managing complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Providing guidance on compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
  • Promoting a culture of teamwork, integrity, and commitment within the organization.
  • Regularly reporting on HR metrics to inform business decisions.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience with California Compliance and federal employment laws.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and procedures, including employee retention strategies and training development.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • A high level of integrity and professional ethics.
  • A strong commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
