Human Resources Business Partner

The Human Resources Business Partner supports corporate and engineering functions by aligning HR strategies with business objectives. This role partners closely with leadership, managers, and HR Centers of Excellence to support employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will bring strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast‑paced, technical environment. Location: Covert, MI (On‑site) Primary Responsibilities Serve as a strategic HR partner to corporate and engineering leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business goalsProvide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigationsPartner with managers on performance management, including goal setting, coaching, and performance improvement plansSupport workforce planning efforts, including headcount planning, organizational structure, and talent needsCollaborate with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting efforts and ensure alignment with business needsAdvise leadership on compensation, promotions, and employee development strategiesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policiesAnalyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations to leadershipSupport associate engagement initiatives and help drive a positive workplace culturePartner with HR Centers of Excellence (Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Talent, etc.) to ensure seamless HR service deliveryAssist in the implementation of HR programs, policies, and organizational initiativesFacilitate communication between leadership and associates to ensure alignment and transparencySupport change management initiatives within corporate and engineering teams Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field5–8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a business partner or HR generalist capacityStrong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and employee relationsExperience supporting managers in performance management and associate developmentStrong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretionExperience supporting engineering, technical, or corporate functions preferredFamiliarity with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP or similar platforms)Experience in workforce planning, organizational design, or talent management preferredAbility to work effectively in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment A Generation Ahead by Design™ Investing in people who power the future.
