About the role
Under limited supervision and with significant latitude for independent judgment and discretion, this role provides expert consulting, guidance, and operational support to ensure exceptional HR, payroll, and employee service delivery. Responsibilities
- Serves as a key point of contact to be of service for various HR, Payroll, and employee services matters.
- Research, interpret, and deliver accurate guidance in a timely manner.
- Develop follow up methods, documentations standards, and quality checks to ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Collaborates closely with operational leaders to align HR support with site-level and organizational priorities.
- Ensures smooth coordination, proactive communication, and strong integration of HR practices within daily operations.
- Oversees and executes a variety of employee actions throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Conducts ongoing audits of transactions to ensure accuracy, adherence to workflows, and consistency in system data and communications.
- Partners with operations to address employee and manager concerns, offering recommendations related to coaching, communication strategies, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Ensuring issues are addressed promptly and in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Monitors progress and follows through to resolution.
- Compiles, analyzes, and submits HR and payroll data for internal and external reporting.
- Identifies trends and provides recommendations based on findings to support decision-making and process improvement.
- Maintains HR files, records, and documentation in accordance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and audit readiness.
- Develops and delivers training on HR, employee services, and payroll topics.
- Reinforces content through follow-up, observation, and assessment, ensuring understanding, consistent application, and operational compliance.
- Evaluates existing workflows and proposes enhancements to promote efficiency, customer focus, and operational excellence.
- Implements upgrades and process changes to improve outcomes and reduce risks.
- Partners with HR colleagues to support departmental goals, assist with cross-functional initiatives, and provide coverage during peak workloads, deadlines, or special projects.
- Coordinates, researches, and completes miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Performs additional duties as requested to support departmental and organizational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related discipline, preferred.
- Five or more years of HR experience in a large organization, preferably multi-site, with considerable contact with client managers and employees.
- Must be able to travel as needed to facilities within assigned region and to Generations Support Center and/or other regions as requested.
- This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of skilled nursing operations and compliance needs
- Solid knowledge of HR-related laws and HR-related topics across the spectrum of HR disciplines to include employment, employee relations, benefits, and compensation.
- Strong knowledge in HRIS administration.
- Proven success in providing proactive, timely, and accurate customer service.
- Outstanding, proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Unquestionable integrity, confidentiality, and performance of duties with dignity and compassion.
- Intermediate advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Proven ability to assess systems and processes and make improvements.
- Proven success in working in a team-oriented setting, utilizing other skills and knowledge, sharing information, and supporting team outcomes.
- Proven ability to successfully work with and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to successfully perform in an environment with changing priorities and assignments.

Pay
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 DOE

Full Time / Hybrid / 10% Travel / Must be located in Southern CA
