Human Resources Business Partner
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversees workplace investigations from initial intake through interviews, escalation, resolution, or closure
- Collaborates with Business Office Managers to address and resolve complex employee relations matters
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements regarding daily employee management, minimizing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Offers ongoing performance management support to the leadership team, including coaching, counselling, career development, and disciplinary actions
- Reviews trends and metrics from stay interviews and employee feedback, working with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Delivers training and guidance on the exit interview process, and analyzes collected data
- Facilitates communication between communities and unemployment claims manager, and participates in unemployment hearings when required
- PARTNERS Closely with management and employees to foster positive working relationships, enhance morale, and improve productivity and retention
- Ensures full compliance with health and safety regulations, while remaining informed of updates to laws and regulations affecting the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources and 5 years of direct HR experience; or 10 years in a Human Resources role
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills required
- Strong facilitation or training skills
- Working knowledge of multiple human resources functions, including, but not limited to, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws (FMLA, PFML, ADA, FLSA)
- Experience working with managers on complex performance management, disciplinary and termination issues
- Ability to maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and timely documentation of assigned work
- Solid analytical and computer skills
