Inside the Role

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is an advisor and performance enabler who partners business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness through people. As the first point of contact for complex HR topics, the HRBP delivers high-impact HR solutions aligned with the DTFS business objectives, strategy, and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to define and execute talent strategies including workforce planning, job design, organizational transformation.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to employees and managers toward optimal performance and engagement.
  • Act as a talent enabler, identifying performance gaps and strengths across teams.
  • Shape the employee experience to ensure alignment with company values and goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding leaders through ambiguity and change.
  • Provide actionable solutions for complex HR topics.
  • Use data and insights to drive strategic decisions and demonstrate HR’s impact.
  • Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques to resolve business opportunities.
  • Influence outcomes without authority, shaping direction and driving adoption of new approaches across the broader functional area.
  • Guide leaders in applying total rewards practices that align with the business objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and centers of excellence within DTNA OPT and global DTFS HR organizations for improved solutions for the business and maximum HR effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to employees and managers toward optimal performance and engagement.
  • Lead or participate in both HR and company short and long term projects.
  • Facilitate new employee orientation, culture and inclusion and belonging initiatives, and other location-specific programs as assigned.
  • Partner with the organization(s) to develop people, create succession plans, ensure interview policy and procedures are implemented.
  • Train employees and management on various HR topics such as performance management and development systems, anti-harassment, FMLA, etc.

Requirements

BS/BA degree required, preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent professional experience. 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including significant exposure to strategic HRBP roles in global, matrixed environments. Experience coaching and mentoring employees and managers toward optimal performance and engagement. Must have experience in employee relations topics including conducting investigations. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and court decisions applicable to employee relations required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in MS Office required. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of role and responsibility required.

Qualifications

Exceptional Candidates Might Have Expertise in HR technology platforms and AI-enabled solutions including Workday. Human Resources certification such as PHR or SPHR preferred. Advanced degree (MBA or MA in HR).
