Essential Responsibilities

  • Acts as an initial employee/manager point of contact for, and performs routine tasks related to the administration, execution, and tracking of human resource activities including but not limited to staffing; compensation; leave; recognition and morale; training and development; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; and manager coaching.
  • Serves as a liaison to ensure both parties understand and adhere to the terms of the union contract. This includes mediating discussions, addressing concerns, and fostering constructive dialogue to maintain a positive working relationship.
  • Maintains compliance with labor agreement terms by collaborating with management and union officials to ensure workplace policies, practices, and actions align with the negotiated contract.
  • Facilitates communication between recruiting and management to facilitate hiring, selection, and on-boarding actions.
  • Partners with security on employee relation issues, investigations, and other shared responsibilities.
  • Maintains HR metrics for assigned contract and monitors compliance with labor agreement terms.
  • Liaises with employees, leaders, and corporate departments including benefits and payroll.
  • Partners with Program Management to identify attrition issues and trends and implement appropriate strategies to address retention challenges.
  • Provides guidance to managers/employees on performance management, communications, training, employee relations issues, interpretation of employment laws and company policies.
  • Investigates employee complaints/allegations in accordance with company protocol.
  • Supports compliance efforts, including the communication, dissemination, and implementation of company policies, as well as federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Supports program and company initiatives by tracking and preparing reports for analysis and distribution on such activities.
  • Identifies best practices and makes recommendations to improve the employee/manager experience including new hire assimilation, training, and performance management.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Assists with interviews, documentation, and reports.
  • Drives change awareness by ongoing development of knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must work on site 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Must be a US citizen and possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous SCA/Union experience.
  • Experience with government contracting.
  • Working knowledge of WorkDay as the HRIS.

Compensation Details

$90,000 - $110,000
