About the Role

The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner is a pivotal role within the HR team, partnering with management to deliver high-quality support. This person will provide consultation, advice, and guidance to business leaders, as well as support for organizational changes by carrying out initiatives and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Support employees and managers with routine, day-to-day HR questions, needs, and inquiries, guiding teams to the right resources for timely solutions.
  • Conduct meetings with business units on a regular cadence.
  • Consult with business unit management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the Performance Management review process, ensuring feedback tools and development plans are utilized consistently and fairly.
  • Support management in performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Act as a liaison with Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth onboarding, including conducting new hire orientation.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Coordinate all paid and unpaid leaves of absence, including FMLA, non-FMLA, and Workers Compensation.
  • Oversee the Wellness program and lead company-wide wellness initiatives.
  • Facilitate and administer company-wide training programs on workplace issues such as Harassment in the Workplace and Ethics Training.
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning, succession training, and organizational design.
  • Stay current on local, state, and federal laws affecting human resources.
  • Engage in face-to-face interaction and coordinate work with other employees.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner (preferred) or HR Generalist role.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative environment built on trust and mutual respect, with demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders.
  • Business acumen and the ability to apply HR solutions to business strategy.
  • Ability to interpret and implement HR policies and procedures, with strong dispute resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with State and Federal laws, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce/Cornerstone).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
