About the role
This position provides diversified administrative support including compliance, ad hoc projects, recruiting support, and policy knowledge. Specific goals, project management expectations, and quarterly performance reviews will be provided and assessed for success in each criterion.
Responsibilities
- ATS: Create positions, transmit applicants to hiring managers, complete disposition through “select for hire,” and close positions.
- Payroll: Complete time with ADP group, ADP class, and system review.
- Onboarding: Prepare new hire employee orientation packages and hire documents for consistency across divisions.
- Benefits: Review and communicate Pratt’s benefit package to current employees.
- Organization/Succession Planning: Create organizational charts and understand divisional position needs.
- Leave Maintenance: Full knowledge of Pratt leaves and management of each.
- Compliance: Manage all state and federal notifications, laws, and Pratt policies.
- Job Descriptions: Audit job descriptions to determine updates or new positions.
- Disciplinary: Guide managers through disciplinary processes.
- Employee Relations: Ensure employee participation in Pratt initiatives, event planning, fundraising, and newsletter contributions.
- Assist with day-to-day department functions and perform duties assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 2 years of professional administrative support experience, including at least 1 year in HR, payroll, or benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Superior oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to respond professionally to individuals at all organizational levels.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary business information.
- Effectively manage multiple and changing work priorities.
- High degree of safety awareness and discipline.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and “Fit for Work” physical.
- Provide valid I-9 documentation.
- Professional attitude and conduct; courteous to coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
- Willingness to travel, work nights/weekends, and overtime as required.
- Adhere to safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist with additional duties as needed.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as required by OSHA.
- At least 18 years of age due to the nature of the working environment.
- Flexibility to meet business needs and exceed customer expectations.
- Complete a Caedus placement test for skill assessment.
